We often avoid confronting our difficulties until feeling deeply uncomfortable or unsatisfied. Growth transpires when we acknowledge discomfort and unravel what has been buried. One of the most powerful tools that we can have for ourselves is building awareness. Without awareness, we aren’t able to figure out how to notice our feelings, what we are experiencing that makes us have a certain feeling or thought, or work through those nagging thoughts that continuously run on the hamster wheel. When working through those unhelpful thoughts, we will build tools such as mindfulness to develop awareness, self-compassion, and find ways to let go of what is keeping those thoughts there. As a therapist I believe my job is to ultimately work myself out of a job and help you gain the tools to navigate your version of living your best life.

I believe in the importance of a collaboration and consultation in therapy with other providers such as psychiatrist, pediatricians, primary care doctors, speech therapist, occupational therapist, teachers, and schools to a bring everything together for a more holistic approach. I use different therapeutic services and approaches to tailor to developmental levels. My specialties include perfectionism, anxiety, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, spirituality development, behavioral issues, LGBTQ+ support, and relationship issues. Refer to Services and Specialties for more information in your area of interest.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC, LH.61214423) in Washington, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas and a Registered Play Therapist (RPT). I have been working in the private practice setting for 8 years and 5 years as a fully licensed clinician. I worked in the Dallas area for 8 years and recently moved my practice to the Vancouver, WA area. When I’m not working you can find me doing yoga, hiking, meditating, enjoying time with family or friends, doing puzzles, or hanging with my pups.
